Lo Que Veo/What I See: On Being Young in Taos

Tickets are still available for all 3 performances of Lo Que Veo, though online sales have ended. You may purchase tickets at the TCA Box Office, which opens 45 minutes prior to each performance this weekend. Enjoy the show!

Metta Theatre/Metta Young Artists presents a collection of voices on the experience of growing up in Taos.

The show is a theatre piece formed from the writing of local residents, mostly young, in response to the question “What do you see?” Their writing was done in high school classrooms, the Taos County Juvenile Detention Center and at Metta Theatre in a weekly acting workshop or special writing sessions.

Most of the words are those of youth, with a few older people contributing thoughts based on their experiences in education, social work, medicine, volunteering, and corrections.

All were asked to share not what might be best received or expected, but what they truly saw and wanted to say.Their words were written in letters, composition books, on computers, and recorded in interviews and then transcribed.
